Complete Card Disclosed For January 19’s ONE Friday Matches 48

With ONE Friday Fights 48, the world’s greatest martial arts organisation returns to the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium after starting off its 2024 event season with an electrifying doubleheader.

When the Asia primetime event kicks off in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, January 19, expect spectacular action to come thick and fast. There are ten thrilling Muay Thai bouts scheduled, in addition to two opening MMA bouts.

At the top of the schedule is a flyweight Muay Thai match between Russian heavyweight Sharif Mazoriev and two-division Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Kongthoranee Sor Sommai.

Kongthoranee is currently riding a six-bout winning streak, which has helped his ONE Championship career get off to an explosive start. Without a doubt, he wants to keep building on his incredible momentum that has led to a six-figure deal with the biggest martial arts organisation in the world.
The Thai fighter is quite strong, having won three of his six fights by knockout. But in those stakes, Mazoriev is equal to him.

With 14 career victories and eight stoppages, the Russian believes he can bypass the line and go straight to the top with a highlight-reel finish against his rapidly rising opponent.

The spectacle will undoubtedly conclude in style as Kongthoranee’s skilled striking and Mazoriev’s aggressive struggle for a significant win come to a close.

On the programme, Petsansab Sor Jaruwan, a former Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion, will make his professional debut in a 124-pound catchweight Muay Thai match against Aekkalak Sor Samarngarment.

The two had already faced off twice, with Petsansan coming out on top both times. However, this next trilogy will be the first when both fighters compete over three rounds while wearing 4-ounce gloves.

Having made his ONE debut the previous year, Aekkalak has the edge in that area, which might provide him with an advantage against a rival who has defeated him in their past two meetings.

Furthermore, Thai celebrity Sibsan Nokkhao KorMor11 begins his 2024 schedule against Mardsing Khaolakmuaythai in a 138-pound catchweight Muay Thai match.

Another star, Sibsan, has won four consecutive fights after making his ONE Friday Fights debut last year and is almost unstoppable. But with wins against competitors like Tyson Harrison and Mavlud Tupiev under his belt, Mardsing will be primed to destroy his rival’s flawless promotional record.

Mardsing’s style of unrelenting boxing and low kicks will force him to clash with Sibsan’s knees and elbows in the middle of the ring, setting up an exciting and long-lasting toe-to-toe fight.

Majid Karimi and Teeyai PK Saenchai, two more athletes with a perfect 4-0 ONE record, will square off in a thrilling strawweight Muay Thai match.

Teeyai has shown incredible strength and inventiveness, but big-punching Karimi will not back down from his Thai opponent.

In the mixed martial arts competitions, Brazil’s Matheus Pereira will compete against Russia’s Khasan Khaliev in the lightweight division, and fellow Russian Kara-Ool Changy will compete against Filipino Arsenio Balisacan in the strawweight division.
