“He hasn’t told Paris Saint-Germain he’s joining Real Madrid,” claims Kylian Mbappe.

According to reports, Kylian Mbappe, the forward for Paris Saint-Germain, has not told his teammates that he plans to sign a free transfer to Real Madrid this summer.

The France international’s current PSG contract expires on June 30, and Le Parisien said on Saturday that the striker has decided to sign for Los Blancos this summer.

According to reports, Mbappe has decided to join Bernabeu on a free transfer. The 25-year-old may make a statement in the coming weeks.

The former Monaco prospect hasn’t yet informed PSG that he will be moving to the Spanish capital at the conclusion of the current season, according to Sky Sports News.

According to the article, Mbappe promised to notify PSG of his intentions ahead of time, but as of right now, the French team remains in the dark about any decisions the Frenchman has made.

Mbappe’s choice has not been disclosed to PSG or Real Madrid, according to ESPN, although a transfer to the 14-time European winners may be revealed as early as next week.

According to the source, Mbappe would probably have to take a 50% pay cut in order to join Real Madrid since the Spanish team cannot match PSG’s payroll.

It is believed that he would forfeit incentives worth more than €100 million (£85.5 million) if he left the French capital and that his alleged decision to join Real Madrid was not financial in nature.

Rafael Leao of AC Milan is reportedly considered PSG’s top target for this summer’s transfer season as they look to replace Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe has been a standout player for Luis Enrique’s team in the 2023–24 season, making 28 appearances across all competitions and tallying 29 goals and seven assists.

Since moving from Monaco to PSG, he has made 288 appearances for the team in all competitions, tallying 105 assists and 241 goals.

The attacker is aiming for a sixth Ligue 1 championship this season and will be vying to help the team win the Champions League. He has won five Ligue 1 championships during his stint in the French city.

While they are in the last-16 round of the Coupe de France, PSG will play La Liga team Real Sociedad in the competition’s round of 16.

In contrast, Real Madrid is vying for two more trophies: La Liga and the Champions League. The team has already won the Spanish Super Cup this season.
