Armando Broja might be allowed to leave Chelsea on loan.

It has been claimed that Chelsea is willing to let Armando Broja go on loan before the January transfer window ends.

This month, a lot of rumours have surfaced over the striker’s future, with Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly showing interest in signing him.

With only two goals and two assists in 19 appearances across all competitions, the 22-year-old had a poor year, leading Chelsea to reportedly aim to trade him in the winter market.

Journalist David Ornstein claims, nevertheless, that a loanout is now feasible if Chelsea receives a “significant fee” and guarantees about “game time.”

Broja may yet decide to leave Stamford Bridge permanently, according to Ornstein, but he still has the option to stay until the conclusion of the season.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has also provided an update on the situation, saying that “there’s still movement” regarding the center-forward.

Romano says that Wolves had another loan bid turned down on Wednesday night, and Fulham has put in a proposal for a loan with a buyout option.

In Wednesday night’s 4-1 Premier League loss to Liverpool, Broja did not play as a substitute, indicating that he may be moving before Thursday night’s deadline.

The attacker struggled to make an impression in his last games against Fulham and Luton Town, and he has only scored once in the Premier League this season—in a 2-0 victory against Fulham on October 2.

Since joining Chelsea in 2009, Broja has advanced through the team’s age groups in preparation for his 2020 first-team debut.

The striker managed nine goals in 38 appearances while on loan at Southampton in 2021–22, after scoring eleven goals in a loan stint at Vitesse during the 2020–21 season.

However, Broja only scored once in his 18 Chelsea outings the previous season, and he has once again struggled to reach his peak under Mauricio Pochettino this season.

The Albanian international’s current contract with the Blues is set to expire in the summer of 2028, but he also inked a new long-term one in September of 2022.

Although the Hammers are no longer thought to be in the running to sign Broja, West Ham United were previously said to have shown interest in the player.
