Rumours about transfers: Jhon Duran going to West Ham, Jonny going to PAOK, and Dan Gore leaving Manchester United

Dan Gore, a promising young player for Manchester United, is allegedly getting close to joining League One team Port Vale on loan.

The 19-year-old, who came from Burnley to join the Red Devils’ academy in 2018, has since been included in first-team training sessions under boss Erik ten Hag this year.

In addition to captaining the team’s Under-19 squad in three UEFA Youth League contests this season, Gore has made his first two senior outings for Manchester United, coming on as a substitute against Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup and against Aston Villa in the Premier League.

The Daily Mail claims that Port Vale has won the competition to recruit the highly-rated midfield player, so it seems as if he may be about to temporarily leave Old Trafford in quest of more playing time.

Gore has reportedly attracted attention from a number of EFL teams, including Bolton Wanderers, Blackpool, Shrewsbury Town, and Fleetwood Town, as well as Bundesliga powerhouse Borussia Dortmund. However, the youthful player is expected to join League One leaders Port Vale.

Gore will follow Joe Hugill, Donny van de Beek, Hannibal Mejbri, Joe Hugill, Alvaro Fernandez, Maxi Oyedele, and Rhys Bennett as the seventh Manchester United player to depart the team on loan this month.

West Ham United’s attempt to sign Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran has apparently failed, despite the team’s desire to remain in the Premier League.

Since Danny Ings, Maxwel Cornet, and Said Benrahma are all out of commission and Michail Antonio is still sidelined, it is thought that the Hammers will give priority to adding a new attacker this month.

Aston Villa has reportedly turned down West Ham’s bid for Duran because Unai Emery wants to retain the 20-year-old as Ollie Watkins’ backup, according to talkSPORT.

Though it’s believed that if Villa is successful in pursuing Middlesbrough forward Morgan Rogers, then their position on Duran may shift.

For over £15 million, Duran left MLS team Chicago Fire to join Villa Park in January of last year, although he hasn’t yet started a Premier League match for the Lions.

Instead, under Emery, the Colombian international—who has previously been linked to Chelsea, AC Milan, and Inter Milan—has made 26 appearances as a substitute across all competitions, tallying four goals.

Greek team PAOK is allegedly interested in Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Jonny Castro.

With the West Midlands club for the last five and a half years, the 29-year-old has made 221 appearances in all competitions.

After a training ground incident in December, Jonny was kicked out of the senior setup until the beginning of February, thus his future at Molineux is now unknown.

This month, Jonny is free to leave the Wolves, and according to the Shropshire Star, PAOK has begun negotiations to sign the full-back.

According to the source, if a permanent transfer cannot be agreed upon, PAOK would try to recruit Jonny on loan; however, the Spaniard would have to accept a wage decrease in order to come to Greece.

Jonny is said to be worth about £2.5 million to the Wolves. He has also been connected to a return to his previous team, Celta Vigo.
