Seattle Kraken at Dallas Stars, Game 1 of Western Second Round

Joe Pavelski will be a game-time choice for the Dallas Stars when they have the Seattle Kraken in Game 1 of the Western Conference Second Round at American Airlines Center on Tuesday.

“He’s out there again for morning skate,” Stars coach Peter DeBoer said. “Things look encouraging, yet we’ll choose this evening when we get to the arena.”

The forward has not played since April 17 in view of a blackout supported during the second time of Game 1 of the Western Conference First Round against the Minnesota Wild. He was checked by Wild defenseman Matt Dumba; simultaneously, Pavelski was smacked in the face by the stick of Minnesota forward Ryan Hartman when the stick got found out among Dumba and Pavelski.

Pavelski’s head hit the ice when he fell, and he was helped off by teammate Mason Marchment and a trainer. He was set into blackout protocol April 19, that very day as Game 2.

Pavelski started skating all alone when Dallas was at Minnesota for Games 3 and 4 and skated with the team when they got back to Dallas for Game 5. He went with the Stars out and about for Game 6 and skated the morning of the game, however didn’t play.
