Transfer talks for Haaland are “going wonderfully” as the Man City star’s agency works for a shocking £172 million deal.

According to sources, Erling Haaland’s agents have been in discussions about a possible summer transfer from Manchester City to Real Madrid.

The Norwegian international left Borussia Dortmund in 2022 to join the Citizens after Pep Guardiola’s team activated the €60 million release clause in his contract.

Since then, Haaland has been in unbelievable form, scoring 71 goals in 75 games for Manchester City and securing his spot as one of the top strikers in the world of football.

Since beginning his professional career with Bryne in Norway, the 23-year-old has scored 226 goals in 275 games, which has attracted attention from elite teams around Europe, most notably Real Madrid.

Haaland’s future is “directly related” to what happens to Kylian Mbappe, according to Spanish magazine Mundo Deportivo, despite previous rumours that he would want to play for Real Madrid at some point in his career.

Real Madrid and Liverpool are both strongly connected to the France international, so it seems like he may be leaving Paris Saint-Germain when his contract ends in the summer.

Haaland is “the other big name on Florentino Perez’s list,” according to Mundo Deportivo, as he aims to recruit a high-profile striker in the summer.

Haaland may potentially leave the Etihad Stadium in 2024 for €200 million (£172 million), as the Man City attacker is “talking to the Spanish club through third parties.”

Talks with Haaland’s entourage are reportedly going well, and they plan to even employ Bellingham, with whom the Norwegian seems to get along well since they communicate often, in the hopes that Bellingham’s short but intensive time at Real Madrid will persuade him.

According to well-connected recruiting consultant Bryan King, Haaland was only a phone call away from becoming a Manchester United player at a previous point in his career.

“We were able to make it work when I told Haaland’s father that I would love for him to visit Everton so we could take a look at him,” King revealed to the Inside Track.

“He spent three or four days here and performed fine, but most people thought that his girth would limit his effectiveness.

However, Manchester United ought to have signed Haaland. The main Scandinavian scout at United, who I know, went above and beyond to bring him over there.

“At the end of the season, there was a mix-up, and many people were vacationing at United.” They were instructed to contact Molde via phone at a certain hour in the morning.

Jim Solbakken was in charge of arranging Haaland’s transfer from Molde to Salzburg, and he is well-connected to Manchester United. He said that Haaland would go to Salzburg if the call was not received by ten o’clock.

“Someone at United made the call, and they were an hour late. Instead of ringing at nine as planned, they did it at ten, which is eleven in Norway. That’s why the transaction fell through!
